FUTURO ANTICO

Titles and lyrics

EMI Classic Italy 1996

"In the last years it was a lot question of the crisis of the western music, so that this one became henceforth discounted. The extraordinary progress of the tonal music and its refined technicality carried to a neutral: one evolves there inside a musically organized structure that doesn't permit a flight while. "There would be still so much beautiful music to write in C major" said Schònberg at the end of his life and he was surely in the truth, but it is precisely this C major the cage that makes that all seems already heard.
This disk has been made by brightness, by amateurs, because it is true that the alphabetism and the musical expression more immediate, popular, emotional and liberating, are inversely proportional. We began from a past faraway and anti-modern when one played for the birth and the death, for joy and the pain and for all small and big facts of life, in a world also tending toward the sacred and the profane, in a deep unit, of flesh and mind.
We killed the Conservatories of music to start again from the mystery more faraway and passionate: "music is the essence of the sky and the earth" and this essence we sucked it of life as makes the spider with its prey. We turned back wild and children for your brightness; and that this step behind either to be the first of hundred steps forward. Our past will be thus, our future: Futuro Antico."
